The story is about Gaurav Gupta (G.G)who started from scratch and now believes that only money can help him achieve his goals. Guruji, a leading industrialist turned humanitarian, who feels that wealth should be used only for society. He has a son, Jaidev (Jai)Vardhan (Shahid Kapoor) who travels to Mumbai and meets there Natasha, G.G’s girlfriend. At that time Jai’s childhood friend Madhavi (Amrita Rao)who he happens to be in love with and knows that Madhavi loves him, Jai becomes careless and G.G. recognizes his chance to get his piece of land with Jai’s help. Almost too late, Jai realizes what he has done – he not only pushed away his father, but also Madhavi and is in the process to betray his father’s dream. But Jaidev soon realizes his folly. Whether Jaidev will stick to the values that he has been imbibed with or go astray is what the film is all about.
