Claire (Alicia Witt) is a talented piano prodigy who has to come to terms with loss when both her boyfriend dumps her and a prestigious music academy rejects her. As Claire learns to cope with her defeats she runs across wild parties, oddball characters, and a dose of acid in the hors d’oeuvres. Eventually Claire learns to play it cool, like Mona Lisa, and all will be well.
