Simran also receives an invitation for Abhi’s award ceremony. Sonu calls Simran and asks her if she could take him to meet Urmila since he hasn’t seen her for very long. She agrees. Abhi’s editor asks him to leave for the US on New Year’s Eve since all the arrangements have been made. Sonu and Simran go to meet Urmila in jail and Sonu tells her that Manaas has taken up a new job and that he spends a lot of time with Ria. Urmila tells him to ask Manaas to see her. Manaas finds out that Sonu has gone with Simran to see Urmila and is furious. He calls Simran and yells at her. Abhi is preparing to go for the award function when Neha complains of feeling unwell and unable to go with him. Abhi goes alone. However, Simran surprises him there. Abhi’s mother and Neha catch the function on TV and Neha sees Abhi hugging Simran on receiving the award and she is shocked and almost in tears.

Neha is very upset knowing that Abhi had taken along Simran for the award ceremony. The next day Abhi tells Neha that it is the day of her check-up and she says that she doesn’t want to go. However, Abhi insists and asks her to go. Simran talks with Brian and finds out that he is ready with the mobile hospital plan and that it can materialize soon. Simran is impressed. He also tells her that he needs to bring about a lot of changes in the hospital to make it look more presentable and appealing to the children to come there. She agrees. Poonam tells Neha that she should not take simran in the wrong way since she is her doctor and not only Abhi’s ex-wife. Simran goes through Neha;s reports and says that she is doing ok but abhi needs to look after her. Abhi says that he is leaving for Paris and she tells him why is he going when she had asked him not to? Abhi says that Neha has asked him to go, which pleases Neha but leaves Simran feeling a little upset.
